A Round at Kingston Fairways
Your round at Kingston Fairways starts with a great combination of holes, the shortest of the par-3s followed by the longest par-5! The rest of the front nine is a good mixture of tree-lined par-4s requiring some accurate drives to set up your approach shots to the greens. The dog-leg No. 8 hole is particularly challenging and a good drive here is essential. ‘Cutting the corner’ is restricted by a huge wall of trees, forcing a short, straight drive for position. The approach is protected by a sand trap to the front-left of the green and there is very little room to play long into the back of the green.

The shorter back nine continue to bring the rolling landscape and trees into play but offers up a few shorter par-4s where you can unleash your driver from the tee. Both of the short par-3s call for an accurate drive. Anything long or wide and you’ll face a tricky chip to get up and down for par.

The final three holes are a superb finish to your round. The par-5 No. 16 can be reached in two, if you’re mindful of the woods on the left. The par-4 No. 17 looks reachable but there’s some difficult rough in front of the green. And then there’s the eighteenth. A dog-leg to the right, heading back up a gentle hill to the clubhouse. With a tree-lined green protected by a pond, it’s a classic finale to your round at Kingston Fairways Golf Club.
